There are no interviews or applications required. Students who sign up for the first time do so at the “Mission Specialist” level. All Webber Panthers are welcome to join, and there is always a team which fits the interests of the student. This club is almost entirely student-run, and supported by a strong alumni network. Students will have an opportunity to join a number of Teams specializing in Life, Water, Geology, Journalism, Systems Engineering, Hospitality and Security, Satellite Engineering, and other fields. Currently, Missions visit the Moon or Mars. Modelled on NASA, student participants prepare for and complete a simulated space mission each Semester. WAVE is Webber’s oldest-running club dating back to the first Mission in 1992. WAVE is Webber Aerospace Ventures in Education. The top 2 teams from the state level have the opportunity to compete at the World Competition – 900+ competitors from 26 states and 14 different countries.

Do you like to write your own stories and act them out? Then this is the club for you! Odyssey of the Mind is a worldwide competition that challenges groups of 7 students to solve one of 5 different problems – build a vehicle, create a technical apparatus, remake a classic (art, music, literature), build a structure to hold 1000lbs+ out of balsa, or create a humorous skit to solve a problem. Math Counts consists of working on challenging, fun math problems AND participating in a math competition against other schools later in the year. Playing magic is an excellent way to stimulate the mind, think creatively and solve problems while improving linguistics, building social skills, and learning how to be respectful in competitive situations. When: Mondays 2:45-4:45PM Magic: The Gathering Club We will start beginners with the first edition and level 1 characters whenever possible. Dungeon Master experience to facilitate and run multiple campaigns is always appreciated. Parents with DnD experience are encouraged to sign-up to volunteer with PSD at Webber. All students and staff are welcome to attend.

We are also open to playing other role-playing tabletop games for interested students. In this club we will meet after school to learn about Dungeons and Dragons, it's history, how to make character sheets, play in a campaign and develop skills to become a Dungeon Master.
